About this site

Synthetic fixtures for address forms, prototypes, and software testing.

Updated: 2026-09-05

What the tool is for

randomaddressgenerator combines locality references with generated sample fields. It helps developers and testers exercise layouts, filters, and exports without copying customer records into demonstrations or test environments.

No account is needed. The main generator supports copying, downloads, and bookmarks stored in your own browser. This service is for testing and learning address structures, not obtaining someone else’s identity or a deliverable street address.

How a record is made

The service matches your country, region, city, and postal filters against a local dataset, then creates synthetic street and profile fields. The existence of a city or postal code does not verify the invented house number and street.

US coverage contains 40,977 GeoNames postal-locality records across 50 states and Washington, DC. Another 20 countries and territories have a limited set of locality samples and aliases; some international postal fields are format examples. This is not a complete worldwide postal database.

Maintaining useful documentation

Our help pages describe the behavior implemented by this site and distinguish reference fields from synthetic or unverified fields. An update date records an editorial change, not a fresh official validation of every postal record.

To report a problem, share the page, selected filters, and expected result. Please do not send real customer, identity, or payment information.
